A sepsis awareness walk will take place in Cavan today in memory of Angela Cahill, who lost her life to the condition this time last year.
Sepsis is a life threatening medical condition that arises when the body’s attempt to fight an infection results in the immune system damaging tissues and organs.
Taking the positive out of such a tragic situation, the Cahill family want to
raise awareness and educate people on the signs and symptoms to watch out for.
They have organised a sepsis awareness/memorial walk ‘Remembering Angela’ at
2pm today at Virginia Rugby Club, Co Cavan.
Angela’s daughter, Catriona Flanagan, said the sepsis team will be at the 4k
walk raising awareness on the signs and symptoms to watch out for.
