Sinn Féin MP for Fermanagh calls yesterday’s incident an attack on the peace process

Michelle Gildernew, Sinn Féin MP for Fermanagh, has hit out at yesterday’s incident in Fermanagh.

A device was detonated on the N54/A3, which had been closed since Sunday after Police were alerted to a suspicious device in the area.

The attack has been roundly vilified by politicians on both sides of the border.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Gildernew described the incident as an “attack on the peace process”.

With the UK edging closer towards a No Deal Brexit, Gildernew also said the incident was “a reminder of how things could be” amidst Brexit uncertainty.
