Sinn Féin’s rally in Cork was not the “intimidation and bullying session” that the Taoiseach said it would be, according to a leading Irish Times journalist.
Fiach Kelly, the deputy political editor of the Irish Times, attended last night’s rally in Cork – a similar rally is scheduled in the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan, on March 2nd.
There were around 1,000 people in attendance, and Mary Lou McDonald and senior ranking party officials gave speeches at the event.
Fiach Kelly said it was a mix of a rally and a meeting, and that after a series of speeches, the floor was opened up to “policy heavy questions and answers”.
