Slight drop in number of people signing on in local region

There’s been a slight drop in the number of people signing on in the Northern Sound region.

In Cavan there was an increase of three when compared to January, while Monaghan saw a fall of 12.

However according to the latest release form the Central Statistics Office, against the same time last year there’s been a drop of 444 across the two counties.

Between January and February, Castleblayney and Cavan town were the only social welfare offices to see an increase in the number of people signing on.
