A Smithborough student has won the James Dyson award for a project to reduce medical waste.
Hannah Grogan and her classmate Máire Kane won the award for their “Personal Patient Pack” which helps to cut down on single-use medical devices like oxygen masks.
The project won the James Dyson award in Ireland, with it progressing to the international competition which includes 27 countries.
Health Minister Simon Harris was among those to praise the pack this week.
