Leona Maguire is 1 over after the first round of the C.M.E Group tour championship in Florida.
The Cavan golfer posted a 73 following a bogey on the 11th and a double bogey on the 13th having been 2 under at the turn with birdies on the first and 8th holes.
Sitting in 45th place, Leona is 9 shots of the lead which is currently held by the American Lexi Thompson who is posted a 7 under 65.
With no cut in this weekends competition the Ballyconnell native will have an opportunity to work her way up the leaderboard.
Fellow Irish golfer Stephanie Meadow is currently in 16th place 5 shots of the lead having carded a 2 under par round of 70.
Both golfers will tee off around 3pm Irish time for the 2nd rounds.
