Teagasc Forestry Advisory Clinics will be taking place in Monaghan and Cavan this week. Experienced forestry experts will advise farmers on the ways forestry can improve farm income, the grants available, and the rewarding land use for Irish farms.

These clinics will take place in Ballyhaise, Cavan, this Thursday, and Monaghan Town tonight.

Farmers and residents in Cavan raised concerns in August about the growing forestry cover, with 9.3% of land afforested in the county. Monaghan’s afforested areas are on the rise and currently cover 4.6% of the county.
