Thomas Galligan has been named the PwC GAA/GPA player of the month for November.
The Senior Ulster championship winner with Cavan, has featured heavily for the Breffni side in their wins over Antrim, Down and most recently Donegal where a facial and indeed hand injury still couldn't stop him picking up the man of the match award in the final.
Tony Kellys performances for Clare earned him the Hurling equivalant.
Commenting on the announcement, Feargal O’Rourke, Managing Partner, PwC, said: "On behalf of PwC, I would like to say hearty congratulations to both Thomas and Tony on being named the winners of November’s PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Awards. Both displayed great talent, teamwork and commitment in their respective matches.
“Thomas helped create a great bit of history with Cavan and we wish him well in the upcoming All-Ireland semi-final. Though Tony's time with the Championship is now at an end, he lit up the pitch with some excellent performances throughout and we look forward to seeing him in the next championship."

"Tony's incredible skill level was on show in Clare's run of games against Wexford, Laois and Waterford in recent weeks. He continues to be one of the game’s top players. Thomas was outstanding throughout Cavan's campaign in claiming the Ulster Championship for the first time since 1997. We wish him and his team well in their upcoming All-Ireland semi-final.

Speaking on behalf of the GPA, Chief Executive Paul Flynn added; “November was a busy month in hurling and football full of outstanding displays so it is a testament to Thomas and Tony that their contributions stood out and were recognised by their fellow players as winners of November’s PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Awards.”
The PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Awards are voted for by the GPA’s membership.
