Three Cavan businesses forced to close by Food Safety Authority of Ireland

Three Cavan businesses were forced to close last month by the Food Safety Authority.

Peter Stenko Sausages in Lisnasarn in Cootehill, which is described as a small meat manufacturing plant was issued a closure order in May.

M&P Traditional Meat and Food Product, which operates within the establishment trading as Peter Stanko Sausages in Lisnasarn was also forced to close.

Rimantas Meats in Belturbet Business Park was also closed by the FSAI. A recall of smoked pork sausages produced by the company was issued last month because of the possible presence of Listeria.

Overall, seven businesses across the country were closed by the Food Safety Authority last month.
