Three local business people have appeared on the latest Revenue Tax Defaulters list. They include an Offshore Assets Investigation worth over €140,000.
The list covers the first three months of the year.
A settlement was made with a Monaghan company director for the under-declaration of over €50,000 in Income Tax. Norman Campbell of Tara Lodge, Coolkill East reached a settlement totalling €141,000. €53,000 of which was interest, and €37, 500 in penalties.
Two Cavan companies had a fine or penalty imposed by the courts.
Retail shop and petrol station proprietor Michael Farnan of Edenburt, Virginia was sentenced to 240 hours of community service for oil laundering.
A&E Duffy Ltd with an address at The Diamond, Belturbet was fined €632.50 for the failure to hold a current liquor licence.
Nationwide, 62 settlements were made in the first three months of the year. The total value of these settlements was over €21 million.
