Tóibín says Monaghan Hospital could be used to reduce trolley figures

Peadar Toibin says Monaghan Hospital needs to be utilised more to help reduce the number of people waiting on trolleys.

During his public meeting in Monaghan last night, the Meath West TD said established parties are failing people in the Northern Sound region because they believe in centralising healthcare services. However, he said primary care centres aren’t being built to the required standard, and the Centres of Excellence haven’t appeared.

Speaking to Northern Sound News, Peadar Toibin said the majority of cases can be dealt with in regional hospitals.
