Triton Showers National Rally Championship returns this weekend

The Triton Showers National championship returns this Sunday with the Circuit of Munster rally hosted by the Limerick motor club.

Monaghan’s Sam Moffett who is the current championship leader with 3 wins from 3 has Keith Moriarty on the notes and are seeded at number 1 in their Ford Fiesta WRC with Donagh Kelly and Conor Foley at 2 in the Ford Focus WRC.

Fresh from their Cavan victory, the Donegal pairing of Declan and Brian Boyle are at 3 also in a Fiesta WRC.

Josh Moffett will make a return to the stages after his off in Monaghan in the Fiesta R5 with James Fulton on the notes and is seeded at number 4 with Alister Fisher and Keith Cronin completing the top 6 also in R5 versions of the fiesta.

Manus Kelly is also among the seeded starters at 8 as he gets in some testing no doubt ahead of the Donegal international rally.

Frank Kelly will lead of the modified field at 12 in this Class 14 mark 2 escort while David Guest is the top Group N seed in his Mitsubishi EVO at 15, that class also includes Shane Maguire at 17.

The stages which will run to the usual 3 loops 3 times are situated just of the N21 taking in territory around Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale.
