Two drivers in Cavan face court following separate driving offences

Two drivers in Cavan are facing court following separate driving offences.

Yesterday on the N3, the Belturbet Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a car with four occupants who were not wearing seat-belts.

The driver was found to be driving without insurance, NCT or tax, with tax out of date for 2000 days.

Each of them received a fine, the car was detained and the driver will now appear in Court.

Checkpoints were also carried out yesterday in the Cootehill area and one driver failed a drug test, testing positive for both cannabis and cocaine.

They were arrested and will also appear in court.
