Tyrone And Monaghan For McKenna Cup Final

Monaghan will meet Tyrone in the McKenna Cup final after Mickey Harte’s side saw off Down 2-16 to 1-10 at the Athletic Grounds.

Conall McCann’s goal helped the Red Hand into a commanding 1-12 to 0-04 half-time lead.

Down fought back in the second-half but Mickey Harte’s men hit the net again through Ronan McHugh to stave off the comeback and seal their place in the decider.

Mickey Harte’s side will now meet Monaghan in Saturday’s McKenna Cup Final, in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh at 7:30pm.

Monaghan received a bye to the final after Donegal withdrew from the competition citing 13 players unavailable due to involvement in the Sigerson Cup.
