Vigil in Monaghan this evening in memory of Polish rough sleeper

A vigil will be held at St Peter’s Lake in Monaghan town this evening in memory of a Polish man who died in October.

Krzysztof Ciesielski who lived in Monaghan for ten years, was found dead in Monaghan town earlier this year after two years of sleeping rough. The vigil and a minutes silence will be shared by members of the Irish and Polish community to remember Krzysztof. It takes place in Monaghan town at 5.30pm.

Monica Treanor who is organising the vigil said she hopes the event will encourage people to look out for each other.
