Water pipe replacement works in Castleblayney completed ahead of schedule

Water pipe replacement works in Castleblayney have been completed ahead of schedule.

Over 1,000 metres of old and damaged pipes on Main Street were removed as part of Irish Water’s Leakage Reduction Programme. The company says residents and businesses will see less disruptions to supplies through bursts, leakages and outages following the laying of the new infrastructure.

The works were finished a month ahead of schedule, with a small section around the Market House postponed until the cordon surrounding the building is lifted.
