It was a busy day in round three of the Ladies football lidl national football league. in Division one Paula Cunninghams Monaghan suffered a 6 point defeat at home to Galway losing by 3-13 to 1-13. at half time they were 1-06 apiece with Laura McEneaney with Monaghans goal . Roisin Leonard starred for Galway getting 1-07 for the Connacht side. Monaghan will head for Kerry next Sunday. All Ireland champions Cork had a 2-11 to 1-08 win over Dublin.; Kerry emerged one point winners over Donegal by 2-13 to 2-12. while Frank Brownes Mayo came away from Armagh with a 3-14 to 0-18 win.
In Division Two Aidan McCabes Cavan had a brilliant 1-17 to 1-11 victory away to Kildare. Thanks to a brilliant second half in Newbridge.The Breffini ladies had been trailing by 1-07 to 0-07 at the break. They’ve now got two wins and one defeat so far.Cavan are up against and at home to Tyrone next Sunday. Laois were 8 points the better of Clare 2-14 to 0-12 Westmeath overcame Tyroner by 3-08 to 1-10 and it finished Sligo 2-07 Waterford 0-11.
Division three saw a facile victory over Tipperary over Down on a scoreline of 5-14 to 0-03. despite four goals Leitrim lost to Offaly by 4-03 to 2-13. Meath and Roscommon played out a 1-12 to 2-09 draw and Wexford were 16 points ahead of Limerick at the full time whistle at 4-16 to 3-03.
In Division four Louth defeated Antrim by 2-08 to 1-08 but the other two games were one sided affairs. Carlow saw off the challenge of neighbours Kilkenny by 5-20 to 2-04 and Longford scored 0-18 in each half to emerge with a 0-36 to 1-03 win over Derry.
