Woman found dead on Monaghan/Tyrone border is named locally

The woman whose body was found by police on the Monaghan-Tyrone border on Tuesday evening has been named locally.

Roisin Monaghan’s body was found n the side of the Old Monaghan Road in Clogher. Emergency services, including the PSNI attended the scene.

An investigation has been launched into the discovery but Police Spokesperson said it’s not being treated as suspicious.

Originally from Clara in Emyvale, she lived in the Augher area of Tyrone.

She was married to Michael Monaghan who lost his wife and child in the Omagh Bombing in 1998.
