Sébastien Ogier made it a record breaking 8th Monte Carlo victory over the weekend in the opening round of the World Rally championship, with the defending champion making it the perfect start in the Toyota Yaris WRC.

It was a good weekend for the Japanese manufacturer with 3 drivers in the top 4 with Elfyn Evans in 2nd place and Kalle Rovanpera taking 4th.

Thierry Neuville ensured it wasn't a top 3 shut out by taking his Hyundai I20 WRC to 3rd place.

Ogier delayed his retirement from the sport for one more season and has already made the perfect start as he looks to claim an 8th championship title, having won successive crowns between 2013 and 2018, as well as in 2020.
