The scammers are targeting people by text with a message purporting to be from the government offering people discounts on their electricity bill.

The scene remains preserved at this time.

Some of the larger faults are in Ballyjamesduff, Cavan Town and Ballyconnell.

The crash occurred at around 2.20am at Boolies, Oldcastle near the Cavan border.
