Around 10,000 customers are still without power this afternoon across Cavan and Monaghan, making it one of the worst affected areas nationally.

Cllr Pauric Clerkin says there's a number of ways people can apply for the scheme.

Nationally, 108 thousand premises are still without power across the country.

The INMO says 437 of those are in emergency departments.

The number of homes, businesses and farms still without power in the Northern Sound region is 10,000.
