Health officials say they're "almost certain" the number of daily Covid-19 cases will fall to below 100 by the start of December.

395 new cases were confirmed last night, along with one additional death.

The 14 day incidence rate is now estimated to be 135 per 100 thousand - one of the lowest in Europe.

Cavan's incidence rate dropped below Monaghan's yesterday.

Cavan recorded 8 cases bringing the incidence rate to 118.1, while Monaghan recorded fewer than 5 and has an incidence rate of 122.2

The 14 day profile for Monaghan as of the 9th of November shows the Ballybay Clones Local Electoral Area has an incidence rate of 104.3, the Monaghan LEA is recording 79.3, while the Carrickmacross Castleblayney LEA still has the lowest rate in the county on 32.7.

In Cavan the Ballyjamesduff LEA still has the highest incidence rate at 147.3, while the Cavan Belturbet LEA is recording 134.8, with the Bailieborough Cootehill Local Electoral Area the lowest there on 131.1

A number of areas still have a 14-day incidence rate of less the five including Lismore in Waterford, two local electoral areas in Leitrim and Dingle in Kerry.
