The Department Of Transport has approved grant aid towards the purchase of two new pothole machines for county Cavan.
The Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Sarah O'Reilly, raised the issue at a December meeting of the Bailieborough-Cootehill MD.
She called for the County Council to purchase a new pothole repair machine and had revealed that the Council will now go to tender for the two machines following the announcement of grant aid from the Department.
