A Monaghan company that’s putting plans for a 25 million euro investment on hold due to Brexit, says other border businesses are doing the same. Chief Executive of Silvershill Foods, Michael Briody has been speaking as a deal around Brexit remains uncertain.

Silverhill Foods, the country’s largest duck processing business, says the new facility won’t get the green light until at least March next year – when details of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU become clear. The company is based in Emyvale, a short distance from the border with Northern Ireland.

CEO Michael Briody spoke to Caroline Gauley on The Wider View and started by explaining how Brexit is having an impact on forward planning - :
