A Monaghan company that’s putting plans for a 25 million euro investment on hold due to Brexit, says other border businesses are doing the same. Chief Executive of Silvershill Foods, Michael Briody has been speaking as a deal around Brexit remains uncertain.
Silverhill Foods, the country’s largest duck processing business, says the new facility won’t get the green light until at least March next year – when details of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU become clear. The company is based in Emyvale, a short distance from the border with Northern Ireland.
