A Cavan artist was recently chosen as one of a select few to partake in a week long residency in the Dacia Museum in New York.
Marilyn Pepper/ Gaffney, is an artist from Cavan who has a Masters in Fine Art from NCAD, and was the only Irish artist that was awarded this residency.
Marilyn has in the past worked in Cavan with other artists, organising her own exhibits in the region, as well as having travelled internationally with her work.

She spoke to our reporter Sheila Naughton about her recent trip to New York, offered advice for aspiring artists, as well as outlining some of her plans now that she's home. Listen to the full interview here:
