Cavan and Monaghan are both marking Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September by lighting up buildings throughout the county.
The civic offices in Carrickmacross are flying the flag for Monaghan, while Cavan Courthouse is lighting up for Cavan by illuminating both with a gold light at night for all of the children and families affected by childhood cancer in the region.
The Light it up gold campaign was first introduced in Ireland in 2013 by the Childhood Cancer Foundation.
