A public meeting to form a community alert system in Clones sparked local concerns over Garda presence.
The meeting was organised by the Gardaí and the community of Clones to see if community and text alerts could be implemented in the town.
Some members of the public raised the argument that without having more Gardaí in the town, alerts will not prevent crimes.
