Cavan’s outgoing Councillor Paddy O’Reilly has spoken about his time on Cavan County Council. He announced in January that he would not be contesting the upcoming election on Friday.
The Virginia native was first elected in 1985, his father previously served on the council. He is 1 of 4 councillors retiring from local government in the region, with Paddy Smith and Fergal Curtain also leaving in Cavan.
