Nursing Homes Weeks was celebrated this month. There were events in care facilities all over Ireland to show the work and family atmosphere that can be found behind the doors of these places for those that spend their time there.
In this region the Sacred Heart in Clones, Monaghan had made a special effort to mark the week through art exhibits, tea parties, music, and working with local schools.
Here at Northern Sound our reporter Sheila was lucky enough to be invited to their Tea Party and while there she spoke to a number of people from residents, to staff, and also their family and visitors. They were broadcast over the week and now you can hear all of their stories here:
