The Down Syndrome Centre in Carrickmacross was officially launched earlier this year, but it is also celebrating 2 years since it was set up this month.
The centre provides services to children with down syndrome and their families across Cavan,Monaghan,Meath, and Louth. When you visit the centre there is a place for everyone, from a sensory room and music room and classes, as well as a kitchen and chill out area for families and visitors.
The centre is totally funded through donations and the fundraising efforts of all of the parents. On the 27th of April the centre are holding one of their biggest fundraising events in the Glencairn Hotel. And our reporter Sheila went down to the centre last week and met some of the families, kids, and committee members involved. You can hear the full report here;
