In 2017 Northern Sound heard the story of 26 year-old Aisling Brady a young teacher from Trim in County Meath who suffered three seizures, three cardiac arrests and a stroke as a result of a pulmonary embolism, all while working in Dubai. At the time The Brady Family raised over €94,000 following an online campaign to “bring Aisling home” and since then she has continued her recovery in Ireland.
Following spending time in The Matter Hospital in the high dependency unit she got a place in the NRH last year and has been continuing to engage in rehab and therapy since.
Her aunt Geraldine Brady spoke on The Wider View today, giving an update on Aisling's progress, as well as highlighting how crucial the fundraising done on her behalf has been. And she spoke about the upcoming event to continue to raise funds to contribute to her future.
