It's hoped a new group in Killeshandra will help drive tourism through community work. The Killeshandra Tourism committee was recently formed to help maximise footfall in the area and involve the community in the promotion of the town.
Chairperson of Killeshandra Tourism Geraldine O'Reilly said the town had been hit by the closure of the bank, credit union and post office. Our reporter Aaron McElroy spoke to Geraldine, and she began by explaining what the tourism scene is currently like in the Killeshandra area.
