HEAR MORE: Teenager rescued after ring buoys missing from Lough Muckno

On Sunday it was reported a teenager got into difficulty near the Black Island Bridge at Lough Muckno.

Two people went into the water to assist after the ring buoys were missing from the their posts. All were eventually rescued and treated at the first aid station. Our reporter Aaron McElroy spoke to one of the men who entered the water to save the teenager.

John Leech, CEO of Irish Water Safety said every incident of vandalism to a ring buoy must be condemed.
