Accora Orchestra from Mullagh in County Cavan competed in the World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Austria over the weekend where the group won both best Senior Ensemble and Best Junior Orchestra prizes.
The group formally known as the Castletown Accordion Orchestra was originally established in 1981 as a marching band but musical director John Chilton changed this in 1993 to an orchestra and the group has had great success since.
