County Monaghan appoints wildlife conservation ranger. Sinn Fein's Sean Conlon has welcomed the decision to appoint a dedicated wildlife ranger for Co Monaghan. Indeed, Cllr Conlon has highlighted the need to appoint a wildlife ranger for many years. Moreover, it would represent a small and critical step in starting the process of reversing serious environmental decline.
Furthermore, the position; which was sought after for quite some time according to Cllr Conlon; comes with a new addition to the title. The official title of the position will be the 'National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Ranger'. He spoke to Jodie Curran about the new role:
