Over €1.6 million announced for a number of community centres across Cavan and Monaghan.
These grants will help improve the facilities in all these buildings from new floors to fire doors, new roofs, new kitchens and improved toilet facilities among others.
Minister of State and local TD Niamh Smyth also welcomed the funding allocated to community centres across the region. Speaking to Northern Sound earlier, she says these centres play a vital role, especially following disasters such as Storm Éowyn.
