2,800 homes, businesses, and farms in the Bailieborough area can now connect to high-speed fibre broadband.
Residents in the areas of Virginia and Laragh are also connected through this latest roll-out of the national broadband plan. Internet connection with minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second was delivered to rural Cavan by National Broadband Ireland.
€65 million of investment in Cavan under the national broadband plan ensures 17,000 premises in the county are ensured access to high-speed internet "transforming how people work, learn and stay connected". With 2,796 premises in the Bailieborough area now eligible, NBI encourages residents to visit their website and enter their Eircode to see if they are ready to connect.
