A 25 year memorial fundraiser is taking place today to remember five members of one family who died in a Co Monaghan collision.
Catherine Curtis (nee Winters), her 10-year old son Wayne, her 5-year old daughter Shauna, the children's aunt Jamie and their cousin Garry both aged 14 all died in the 2001 collision.
They were killed when the car in which they were passengers in, collided with a milk tanker at Swann's Cross on July 24th, 2001.
Catherine's sister Christina Weldon says that day has never left their memory.
As a memorial Christina and her two daughters Abbie and Katie will be taking part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon this afternoon.
Up on 30 thousand women are gearing up to run, walk or jog the 44th VHI Mini Marathon.
The 10k event is one of the biggest women's events of its kind in the world.
Participants will gather at the starting line at 12.30 at Fitzwilliam Square, with the first runner expected over the line at 1.05.
Christina says while honouring Catherine, Wayne, Shauna, Garry and Jamie with her 10km challenge, she will be raising funds for The Irish Road Victims Association, which is the national charity for road crash victims in Ireland.
