Planning permission has been lodged for a major housing development in Carrickmacross.
Tullyagan Properties limited have applied to Monaghan County Council to construct 51 new houses on the Drumconrath Road, Carrickmacross. These would consist of 24 two-bed, two-storey, semi-detached houses, 10 two-bed semi-detached bungalows, 10 three-bed, two-storey, semi-detached houses, six four-bed houses and one five-bed house.
Also included is realignment works to the Drumconrath Road to accomodate a new vehicle entrance, footpath, pedestrian crossings and traffic calming. A decision on the application is due in February.
