An application has been submitted for a development at Monaghan General Hospital, to give families more space when caring for a loved one at the end of life.
The HSE has lodged an application with Monaghan County Council affecting Monaghan General Hospital.
The proposal includes change the use of part of existing hospital outbuilding from its current use as general storage.
The development would see it be used as a family room with overnight accommodation.

Included in the application is a proposal to carry out alterations to the layout and elevations of part of the outbuilding, together with all associated site works.
