A new book has been published featuring the match programme from the iconic 1947 All-Ireland Final.
John Kelly's book, "The GAA Covered: A history of the GAA in Match Programmes" features the famous Polo Grounds final, when Cavan beat Kerry, 2-11 to 2-7 in New York.
Mr. Kelly managed to get his hands on a copy of the match programme online, but now insists that it is not for sale.
He was speaking about the Polo Grounds Final on the Joe Finnegan Show.
Mr. Kelly said: "The 1947 Final is a very special event in the history of the GAA, and the history of Cavan GAA. I had been dying to get my hands on that programme for a long time, and a couple of years ago I managed it.
"It's a really beautiful programme, printed in New York. It survived the match, survived the journey back to Ireland, and almost 80 years later it's in my house, and I'm delighted to have it.
"They rarely come up for auction, a couple of year's ago it came up on eBay. I jumped in straight away, and I was delighted to get my hands on it.
"It came up for auction last Thursday, in an auction in Kilkenny, and sold for €900 plus fees," Mr. Kelly added.
