Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the N53 near Maghernakill, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan on Saturday 14th February 2026.
The collision involved 2 motor vehicles and occurred shortly before 5:00pm.
A male driver and male passenger were conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at the time.
A female driver was medically assessed at the scene.
The Castleblayney to Dundalk Road was closed yesterday evening and has since been reopened.
