Women for Election wants the Government, Oireachtas and councils to tackle online abuse against women politicians before it overwhelms democracy.
It's after its research showed 71 per cent of women representatives have received threats targeting them or people close to them.
96 per cent of female TDs and Senators have suffered online violence.
