Cavan County Council and Cavan County Local Development are inviting Expressions of Interest for projects for the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.
The scheme supports outdoor recreational facilities across Ireland, typical projects include walkways, cycleways, blueways, water and cycle trails, mountain access routes, bridleways, and open water amenities at bogs, rivers, lakes and beaches, including tidal pools.
Grants of up to €40,000 are available under Measure 1, up to €200,000 under Measure 2, while the Project Development Measure offers up to €50,000.
Where a project requires planning permission, this must be in place in advance of an application being submitted.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 5pm on July 31, 2026, late applications won't be considered.
