Organ Donor Awareness Week 2026 is continuing and people are being reminded of the importance of donations.
The key message is that members of the public can play their part in supporting organ donation for transplantation by ensuring that their families are not left in any doubt.
Castleblayney man Paddy Field has had three transplants and has been on dialysis for the past five years.
He says he knows first hand what a transplant can do, he said it's the gift of living again.
Paddy says having that conversation is so important.
