Caution advised as flooding remains a problem locally

There is still a high number of local roads that is currently impassable across the region.

Caution is being advised locally this morning when taking to the roads due to flooding.
There is still a high number of local roads that is currently impassable across the region.

The road (R183) between Ballybay and Doohamlet is impassable, Castleblayney to Oram/Keady is also impassable due to flooding.

The Lough Egish to Shercock Road is currently impassable following Storm Chandra.

L3505 Canningstown–Shercock Road at Pottle is flooded. The route is passable with care.

The Cootehill to Ballybay Rd is also flooded and currently impassable.

Flooding is reported at Rathkenny, between Tullyvin and Drung on the R188, with one side of the road flooded.

The L3006 Lisgrey to Killinkere is flooded and impassable with water still rising.

The L7026 (Lissannymore) and L7596 (Termon) flooded but still passable with care.

The L2010 Castletara–Ballyhaise Road at Lisnacark is completely flooded and impassable. The road will be closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

The L7608 Bleach Road, Shercock is still flooded and is currently impassable.The L7507 at Bleach Cross, Shercock is also flooded but passable with care.

R191 Kells Road, Bailieborough: Floodwaters have receded and the road is now fully passable.

R178 Bailieborough–Shercock Road at Nolagh: Floodwaters have also receded here and the road is fully passable.
