A motorist was detected speeding in Co Cavan earlier this week.
This was during National Slow Down Day, an initiative from Gardai and the RSA.
It ran for 24 hours on Monday and a total of 920 vehicles were detected speeding nationally.
One driver in Cavan was found travelling at 144km/h in a 100km/h zone.
This occurred on the N55 in Kilcogy.
