A Co Cavan resident says she will be forced to live in her car if she can't find another home to rent.
Rebecca Lambe who has lived in Virginia for the last 10 years says she received an eviction notice before Christmas.
She says the new legislation that's been brought in for landlords in the coming weeks is the reason behind her home going on the market.
Rebecca says in the past couple of months she has made contact with over 220 properties and has had four viewings but to no avail. She outlined while she would love to remain the Virginia area, she's open to anywhere in the wider North East area.
The young woman believes having her 13 year dog who was a rescue is making the search for another home even more difficult. She says the pent up demand for rentals is only going one way and she believes the new legislation being brought in for the government has gone against tenants.
Rebecca outlines what happened when she went to view a property in Kells.
The Virginia resident says if she still is in the same position in three months, she'll have no choice but live in her car.
