A Co Cavan woman is on a mission to spread awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.
Eight years ago Pauline Clarke trained in mindfulness and mental health and created her business Mind Nua.
The Kilnaleck mother now brings mindfulness to schools, companies, groups, clubs and privately.
Pauline said she created her business after realising the need for more people to aware and preventative with their mental health, particularly young people.
According to Pauline, there is a six to seven year waiting list for teenagers in Ireland to be seen by a psychologist after getting referred by their GP.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Pauline said it's important for young people to develop everyday skills that can help them cope with their mental health and take back control: "Every time I do a talk, all I get is people saying that it makes so much sense. People are so overwhelmed with stress, worry and different things.
"I explain the process and how it works which is centred towards people of all ages, you're in charge, you repeat the process and everything is in your control and it's important to take back control. People are very quick to realise that things aren't as bad as they thought they were when they have the right tools and techniques to help them and it's great for people of any age to be able to do that."
