A Cavan Primary school teacher has been giving advice on keeping children busy on summer holidays.
Helen King is a primary school teacher in Ballyhaise and is currently pursuing a master's in creative psychotherapy and play therapy.
She is founder of Sasta Play, set up the group after finding it hard to find activities for her own children when they were under five.
She spoke on the importance of basics like sand, water, paint and rice to encourage creative play.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Helen said parents don't need to spend a huge amount of money to keep young children entertained.
